Is there any way to minimize the side effects of Prednisone/steroids (prescribed)

The good news is, according to this article as your dosage is lowered later to 10mg or less the weight gain/bloating/fat redistribution will stop. Just remember that not taking the drugs can be a whole lot worse than the temporary size difference you're experiencing.

Speak to ur MD about being able to lower the dose a bit & then see how u feel. Tell him how unhappy u r & if there is anything he can give u for the side effects.

I do not know why you're on Prednisone, but MDs do not usually give them if they do not have to.

I know how you feel. I have been on Steroids off and on for years for Lupus. I got the ''moon Face'' and I could feel my skin stretching. My doctor told me to drink a lot of water but I really do not think there is anything you can do about the side effects. I hope you begin to feel better soon.
